EDIT
Apparently this technique doesn't work anymore. I'll leave it on here just for shits.
There's a technique floating around on how to get high level nodes while minimizing the cost of your losses. I haven't gotten to really test this out as much as I'd like to but it seems to work most of the time at least. What you need is a god that does a good skill that deals damage. Heaven's Lightning seems to work well as it deals damage to each enemy units. Next you need to use one of each troops type of any you can spare. This means one sword, spear, axe, archer, cav, lancer, and axerider. If you don't want to use the higher cost units then using only infantry can work but it takes more time. They shouldn't get killed though, they'll end up returning to your base.
Basically you send army which is made of one of each troop type and send your god. Your god will do damage to the enemies in the high level node and your troops get sent back because you are by far outnumbered. If you keep attacking you'll notice that the power of the resource node starts going down slowly.
What happens is that the each round has a chance for the god to appear. Sending one of each troop type allows the god more chances of appearing and dealing damage. This is because it forces the fight into more and more rounds.
Tried that many times, and it doesn't seem to work (anymore ?)
ReplyDeleteit does
Deleteis ok now!
ReplyDeleteTried this. Army does not fight, just says ran from overwhelming force or whatever
ReplyDeleteThe army isn't supposed to fight. It should just activate the gods ability.

As I understand it the god's ability will activate sometime during a round, i.e. in battle. The army I send does not get that far. There is no replay button to see in which round the ability was activated. On the battle report it just says: 'Your units have fled from the battlefield due to the overwhelming strength of your opponent.' No mention of any units at all in the report, let alone killed or surviving. Despite this, I have repeated my attack 10 times (one of each troop plus Heaven's Lightning as you suggested), scouting before, after and in between each attack. No troop change. So either I am incredibly unlucky, I am doing something wrong, or this method is broken.
Does it work against player's defense ?
ReplyDeleteI've heard that it actually does. Don't take my word for it though.
Deletecosa sono i nodi?
ReplyDeleteFixed
ReplyDeleteDoesn't seem to work anymore. Seems like they have fixed this.
ReplyDelete1 of each doesn't work anymore, but you can use 3 or each. That still works and some other players prefer 30 of each, although that increases your losses.
ReplyDeleteHow do you abandoned the resource node?
ReplyDeletegot to city hall and then go to conquest. you are then able to abandon the ones you dont want any more.
DeleteDoes this still work?
ReplyDeleteApparently no. Sorry!
DeleteOnce you take a resource node, how do you level it up to get higher returns. Have a Gold Mine at level 1 and Gold Production is +5%, how do I raise this?
ReplyDeleteYou can't. Abandon that site and go conquer a different site ("wild") at the level you want. They are all over the place. Find one that isn't owned by another player. Most players consider it taboo to attack ("flip") their wilds. There is plenty around for everyone. It doesn't have to be super-close to your city.
